Bone Forest

This started out as a creature painting...but then I started having more fun painting the environment than the creature. So here you go, the Bone Forest. What that means, I don't quite know...but I don't think I'd want to visit. ಠ_ಠ

Character portrait and armor design exercise. I usually try to avoid really over-the-top elaborate fantasy-style armor, but as a result the armor I do draw tends to be a bit mundane and practical. I was trying to spice things up a bit, especially since I figure an angel would have some nice armor. This is Satomael, whom you can actually see post-fallen state in my banner above. Doesn't look quite so calm later on, does he?
